House Scene [25,000 triangles]

The purpose behind this setup was to create a simple scene and light it in two different moods. The configuration of background houses and trees changes slightly with camera angles, but both scenes are roughly 25,000 polys. The house mesh itself is 250 polygons. The house is missing certain structural elements, but was intended from the start to be quick and dirty. The house was textured procedurally in Maya and these same procedurals were also used as bump maps. The foliage, grass, concrete, and pavement textures were set up within Photoshop. These textures also made up the bump maps for their mapped geometry. The sky background was a simple image on a plane with Maya lights matching the photograph's lighting.Raytracing was also used to give the scene the "just rained" look.
